Is this boot suitable for treking with backpacks in Thailand? We were told not to get waterproof boots.
Raw Outdoors Replies:
Hi, Thanks for the question, ye there has been a trend towards using non-waterproof boots in warmer climates as they don't breathe as well due to the warmer temperature. However they will still keep your feet dryer as they ahve a waterproof membrane. The Daska Pass would be ideal for what you're planning to do in Thailand, just depends whether you want to go for a waterproof memebane or not. Regards RAW Outdoors

Hi, I was recommended to get Gore-Tex waterproof boots. How do these with their Omni-tech waterproof membrane compare to a gore-tex water proof one?

Hi, Generally Gore-Tex is lsightly more breathable than the companies own waterproof membranes, however that's about it. The general make-up and quality with the Columbia boots is as good as any with Gore-Tex. I also have these boots and they are very comfortable and give great support Hope this helps.
